This Privacy Policy explains how SiteHQ collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our website at https://sitehq.dev (the “Site”) and when you contact us. SiteHQ is a small marketing website. We do not offer accounts, logins, or paid products through this Site, and we collect very little information about you.
We believe a privacy policy should describe what actually happens, not what a larger company’s policy happens to say. If anything here is unclear, email us at privacy@sitehq.app.
1. Who We Are
SiteHQ is a cooperative venture practice operated by CompetencyCafe LLC, a Texas limited liability company. In this policy, “SiteHQ,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that entity.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at:
Email: privacy@sitehq.app
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. We are not required to do so, because we are not a public authority and we do not carry out large-scale monitoring or large-scale processing of sensitive data.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only two kinds of information, described below. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect payment information through this Site.
2.1 Information You Send Us Through the Contact Form
When you use our “Build with us” contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company or organization name
- The message you write to us
We use this information to read and respond to your inquiry. You decide what to put in your message, so please do not include sensitive personal information that we do not need in order to reply.
2.2 Basic Website Analytics
When you visit the Site, we collect limited, non-identifying analytics so we can understand how the Site is used and improve it. This typically includes aggregate information such as which pages are viewed, the type of device or browser used, and the general region a visit comes from. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not track you across other websites and do not build an advertising profile of you.
2.3 Cookies
Our Site is designed to work without tracking cookies, so we do not show a cookie-consent banner. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If your browser stores any small files for the Site to function or to remember a basic preference, those are limited to operating the Site and are not used to identify you or to advertise to you.
We do not knowingly collect any of the following: government identifiers, financial account information, health information, precise geolocation, or other sensitive personal data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Respond to you. We use your contact-form details to read your inquiry and reply.
- Keep a record of correspondence. We may retain our exchange so we can follow up and keep an accurate record of who we have spoken with.
- Understand and improve the Site. We use aggregate analytics to see how the Site performs and to make it better.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it to profile you.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers who help us run the Site. We use third-party providers to host the Site, deliver our contact form and email, and provide analytics. These providers process information only to provide their services to us, under their own terms and privacy commitments. The provider that delivers the contact form and the email it generates may receive the details you submit so that your message reaches us.
- When the law requires it. We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a lawful request from a public authority, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Business transfer. If SiteHQ or its business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. Information transferred this way would continue to be subject to a privacy policy, and you may receive notice of any material change in how it is handled.
5. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Contact-form submissions and correspondence: kept for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to maintain a reasonable record of our communications.
- Analytics: retained only in aggregate, non-identifying form.
You can ask us to delete your contact information at any time by emailing privacy@sitehq.app. We handle deletion requests as described in Section 7 (Your Privacy Rights).
6. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small website to protect the limited information we hold, including transmitting the Site over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and limiting access to contact-form submissions to people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to protect what little information we collect.
7. Your Privacy Rights
7.1 United States (including Texas)
Depending on where you live, U.S. state privacy laws may give you rights regarding your personal information. SiteHQ is based in Texas, and under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) and similar state laws you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process personal information about you, and access it;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information you have provided to us; and
- Obtain a copy of the personal information you submitted, in a portable format.
Because we do not sell personal information, do not use it for targeted advertising, and do not profile you, there is no sale, targeted-advertising, or profiling activity to opt out of.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@sitehq.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (45 days under the TDPSA, with one permitted extension if reasonably necessary, and we will let you know if an extension applies). We may need to verify your identity, typically by confirming the email address associated with your request, before we act. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If we deny your request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response. We will inform you of the outcome of any appeal.
7.2 EU, EEA, and UK Visitors
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, applicable data protection law (the GDPR and UK GDPR) gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal information, and to receive a copy of it. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@sitehq.app, and we will respond as required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For the limited information we collect through this Site, our lawful bases are: performing your request and corresponding with you (which we handle as taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries) and our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Site through privacy-respecting analytics.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email privacy@sitehq.app so we can review and address it.
9. Links to Other Sites
The Site may link to other websites, including websites for the ventures and applications we work with. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. When you follow a link to another site, we encourage you to read that site’s own privacy policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
